Bring new life to special places in a growing cultural district!

Cambria City's beautiful churches commemorate the faith, hard work and sacrifice of the immigrants who built them. As houses of worship for generations, they offered help and hope to struggling steelworkers, miners and their families as they built new lives here. Today these architectural gems form the heart of a National Register Historic District.

Cambria City

While three of these magnificent buildings no longer are needed for worship, they can continue to inspire. For Cambria City is evolving into a vibrant cultural district, and these former sacred places now could provide spectacular spaces for music, theater, dance, public gatherings, receptions and more.

But your help is needed! Join The Steeples Project. Your gifts of time and money will preserve these monuments to our ancestors, create new cultural spaces, and enrich life here in Johnstown!
